Lube Shopping Guide
Looking for a lube that is… | Try these Babeland favorites… | and… |
---|---|---|
Simple and scentless? | Babeland’s own BabeLube is a great all-around lubricant that happens to be one of the gentlest lubes on the market (which makes it great for sensitive-skinned folks). It’s a tasteless, odorless, paraben-free, latex-compatible water-based lube. | |
Silicone-based? | Silicone-based lube is long-lasting and doesn’t wash off with plain water (making it great for underwater sex). Try our very own BabeLube Silicone, a simple, slick choice that’s the same formula as the popular Eros Bodyglide. | |
A tasty treat? | Yummy Sliquid Swirl Green Apple will make you take a mouth-watering bite out of your lover. For lighter fare, try Babeland’s own BabeLicious, available in four tasty flavors. | |
Made from natural ingredients? | Botanical, water-based, paraben-free, and infused with aloe, BabeLube Natural is compatible with safer sex barriers and all toy materials. Our lube is never tested on animals, nor does it contain animal ingredients. | |
Good for anal sex? | We love Sliquid Sassy Booty Lube for its paraben- and glycerin-free formula and thick, cushiony consistency. Maximus, a classic favorite for anal play, also protect and cushions delicate anal tissue with its thick formula. | |
Portable, or just looking to try a few out? |
The original Lube Sampler packs are the perfect way to familiarize yourself with different types of lube, and select the ones that are just right for you. | |
Tingly and sweet? | Sliquid Organics Sensation adds tingle to your lubrication. Create warm and tingly feelings while you rub the night, or morning, or afternoon away! |
Personal Lubricant 101
While there are many different brands of lube, there are really only a few basic variations on lube formulas. Water-based lubricants are the most common, as they are compatible with condoms/latex and silicone toys, and are easiest to clean up. Oil-based lubes are great for hand jobs, but will break down condoms, and are generally not recommended for internal use because it’s hard for the body to flush them out. Silicone-based lubes are long-lasting and safe to use internally, but they can be harder to wash off and are more expensive.
